Checkup & cleaning

Regular dental exams and cleanings are essential to maintaining good oral health and overall wellness. Through regular exams and x-rays, we can detect cavities and other problems in their early stages, preventing further complications.

How is the

PROCEDURE

The hygienist and/or assistant takes a series of x-rays of your teeth. The hygienist then evaluates the state of your gums and takes the measurements corresponding to the periodontogram. The dentist (odontologist) then performs a general review of your oral health, identifying possible problems such as cavities, tartar or gum disease.

Special instruments are used to remove tartar accumulated on the teeth, especially in hard-to-reach areas.

A special paste is applied to polish the teeth, removing superficial stains and leaving a deep cleaning sensation.

Fluoride is applied to strengthen the enamel and prevent future caries, completing the procedure with additional protection.

Once the cleaning procedure is completed, your dentist or dental hygienist will give you instructions that will improve your oral health, as well as hygiene practices to follow at home. They will also schedule your next appointment to ensure a routine cleaning.
